GENERAL INFO

  • We are not authorized to handle and will not touch any equipment, food or drinks not provided by Cali Event Co. without prior approval by us one week prior to event. Additional costs for handling and labor will be applied to proposal, unless arrangements are made prior to the event.

  • Handling of any equipment not provided by Caliente will incur an additional charge. Rate is higher if items are added the day of the event. 

  • TABLES & LINENS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICING 

        And are to be provided by the client and set up prior to food arrival.

  • DAY OF COORDINATORS ARE MANDATORY ON ALL WEDDINGS.  We gladly offer the service if you do not have one pre-arranged.

  • CATERING FOOD PRICES INCLUDE: heating trays, serving utensils and light buffet décor. More elaborate décor/ settings available at an additional cost based on event and items requested.

  • FINAL HEADCOUNT  numbers no later than 10 days before event. After that date numbers can only go up.

  • SCHOOLS, CHURCHES AND CHARITIES contact us for discounted rates and fundraising options.

  • TRASH – As food handlers we do not handle trash removal of any kind. If thrash removal is needed we can arrange a separate truck and staff to take out trash during the event and remove from venue if needed. Additional charge for this service based on details.

  • 22% SERVICE CHARGE / GRATUITY ON ALL EVENTS- will be added to the bill and is used to cover the rising costs and given to the servers and kitchen crew responsible for the success of your event. Based on food rental and beverage bill only.

  • 5% VENUE FEE ON SOME VENUES -some venues charge a service fee and require certain permits. This charge will be applicable with those venues.

  • AFTERHOURS CHARGE

      Events before or after standard current work hours will incur an additional charge.

  • LEFTOVERS

       Leftovers will not be left at event after buffet service ends for health and safety reasons. If proper cooling                equipment is provided at venue, leftovers of some unopened items may be possible with prior approval.

REFUND POLICY

Reminder: All credit card processing fees incurred in the transactions will be

deducted from any refunds requested by the client. 

  • 20% DEPOSIT : NON REFUNDABLE 10 days prior to your event date.

CANCELLATION AFTER BALANCE PAID IN FULL 

  • CANCELLATION 14 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT - refund 90% of final bill (Not including 20% non refundable deposit) to cover any processing charges. 

  • CANCELLATION 7-14 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT : refund 80% of final bill (Not including 20% non refundable deposit) to cover any processing charges and product ordered for your event.

  • CANCELLATION WITHIN 7 DAYS OF EVENT: NO REFUND. 

        Certain fees can be refunded pertaining to items that will not be of cost to Cali Event Co,

         such as labor for servers and delivery fees. 

FINAL HEADCOUNT

 

  • FINAL NUMBERS FOR YOUR EVENT MUST BE GIVEN TO US 10 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT.

       After 10 days numbers can not be decreased. We can increase numbers in some cases on certain items         after that date.  

   

SERVERS

  • HOLIDAY RATE FOR SERVERS IS TIME AND A HALF.

  • SERVERS WILL HANDLE ALL ITEMS CONTRACTED THROUGH CALI EVENT CO.
     

  •  SERVERS WILL CLEAR ALL DISPOSABLE PLATES & UTENSILS AT NO ADDITONAL COST.

  • SERVERS WILL BE PREPARED TO CLEAR PLATES, UTENSILS & NAPKINS ONLY.

        ALL OTHER ITEMS NEED TO BE DISCUSSED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO EVENT.

  • IF PLATES & UTENSILS ARE NOT DISPOSABLE, WE REQUIRE A PRE-SET PLATE CLEARING STATION. $150

       WE CAN PROVIDE A PLATE CLEARING STATION AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $150 (NOTICE PRIOR TO EVENT IS                REQUIRED) (2 TABLES, TRASH CAN, TRASH BAGS, BUS TUBS, BOXES FOR PLACING SCRAPED PLATES, UTENSILS &                        GLASSWARE)

  • ALL GLASSWARE, LINENS, CENTERPIECES, CHARGERS ETC WILL ONLY BE MAINTAINED OR SET BY SERVERS WITH PRIOR AUTHORIZATION ONLY, AND CHARGE  WILL BE ADDED FOR ADDITIONAL SERVERS NEEDED FOR CLEARING AND MAINTINING ITEMS OUTSIDE OF OUR PROPOSED CONTRACT WITH CLIENT.

SET UP

  • SET UP ON BEACHES, SAND, BOATS, STAIRS, $90 PER SERVER

       On any events that we are unable to use a dolly for setup with incur an additional setup                  charge to cover each server and equipment needed to execute the set up.

  • PARTY PACK TO FULL SET UP - 20% FEE PLUS $250 SET UP

       On some occasions we will allow for a party pack to be set up as a catering. In those                        instances we will add a service charge to cover the cost of labor, delivery, set up, pick up &            sanitization of all items after event.

  • TRAVEL CHARGE - BASED ON DISTANCE

       Travel further than 10 miles round trip from Catering Kitchen. Will be determined based on            distance to cover gas and mileage

WEDDINGS

  • TASTINGS $65/ PERSON

  • ROOM FLIPPING CHARGE - $1.50 PER PERSON $150 MINIMUM

       Does not include extra cost of labor needed to execute flip if necessary.

  • CAKE CUTTING $1 PER PERSON

       Does not include knife, plates or any cake supplies – only includes the cake cutting service.

  • IF PLATES & UTENSILS ARE NOT DISPOSABLE, WE REQUIRE A PRE-SET PLATE CLEARING STATION. $150

       WE CAN PROVIDE A PLATE CLEARING STATION AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $150 (NOTICE PRIOR TO EVENT IS                REQUIRED) (2 TABLES, TRASH CAN, TRASH BAGS, BUS TUBS, BOXES FOR PLACING SCRAPED PLATES, UTENSILS &                        GLASSWARE)

  • ON ITEMS NOT FROM THE WEDDING MENU - 20% service fee will be added on all weddings. Weddings require an elevated level of planning to account for the timing & event specifications. This charge will account for the extra time and planning required for weddings. Based on food and beverage bill only.

  • DAY OF COORDINATORS are mandatory on all weddings.  We gladly offer the service if you do not have one pre-arranged.

  • TABLE SETTING OF ANY ITEMS NOT CONTRACTED THROUGH CALI EVENT CO

  • HELP SETTING TABLE - ANY GLASSWARE, LINENS, CENTERPIECES, CHARGERS, ETC

  • HELP CLEARING TABLE - ANY GLASSWARE, LINENS, CENTERPIECES, CHARGERS, ETC

  • SETTING UP OF PLATE CLEARING STATION (2 TABLES, TRASH CAN, TRASH BAGS, BUS TUBS, BOXES FOR PLACING SCRAPED PLATES, UTENSILS 7 GLASSWARE)

  •  HELP WITH TABLE FLIP OR FULL RESPONSIBILTY OF TABLE FLIP

  •  EMPTYING OF TRASH CANS (MUST HAVE NEARBY LOCATION FOR TRASH TO BE DROPPED) WE WILL NOT REMOVE TRASH FROM THE VENUE

BAR

  • BAR SERVICE DISCLAIMER

       No to go booze. We take back everything we bring.

       *byo bar = we will leave everything brought by client at the bar. Will not transport unused               product after event.

  • CHAMPAGNE TOAST $3

        Includes glass flute, add fruit or cotton candy $.50 ea.

  • CHAMPAGNE TOAST HANDLING ONLY - $1.00 / PER PERSON

        Handling of Champagne toast not arranged OR purchased through Caliente Event Co.

        $1.00 per person.

 

TABLEWARE & RENTALS

  • PLATED DINNER SERVICE UPCHARGE $4- $5 PER PERSON

       NOT INCLUDING THE COST OF EXTRA SERVERS AND PLATES NEEDED IF APPLICABLE

  • SALAD PLATING ONLY $2 PER PERSON

        NOT INCLUDING THE COST OF EXTRA SERVERS AND PLATES NEEDED IF APPLICABLE

  • USE OF REAL PLATES, UTENSILS OR GLASSES INSTEAD OF DISPOSABLE - ADDITIONAL $50 EACH SERVER

       $50 extra for each server if client is using plates/ utensils that are not disposable

       (Not including extra time needed to handle dishes)

  • TABLE SETTING CHARGE - $1.70 PER PERSON

       (THERE WILL BE A TABLE SETTING CHARGE OF $1.70 PER PERSON ON EVENTS WHERE  THE LINENS, PLATING

          & GLASSES ARE OBTAINED THROUGH ANY SOURCE OTHER THAN CALI EVENT CO. CATERING)

  • Excessive breakage will be charged to the client on all rental items.
